Trimble has more than 30 years experience in the hospitality industry, starting out as a trainee at the five-star Edward Hotel in Durban and working his way up over the years to GM of a number of leading hotels around the country.

Trimble is known for high standards, attention to detail, team building skills and getting the job done. His career includes managing properties in South Africa and Mauritius, including the St. Geran Hotel and Country Club in Mauritius, the Cascades Hotel at Sun City, the Carlton Hotel and the Sandton Sun.

Leon Bosch, Guvon Hotels operations director, says: "I believe that Christopher possesses all the right skills to develop The Fairway Hotel in the years to come. He brings valuable experience and a fresh perspective to the Guvon family and I am convinced he will take The Fairway to reach great success."

Trimble says: "I am very excited to be joining the Guvon family with this exciting opportunity of putting their newest hotel on the map. It is a huge task that I am honoured to have been chosen to fulfil and I am sure that with the team and staff, The Fairway Hotel & Spa will quickly become one of the most prestigious hotels in the country."

Other key staff appointed to Trimble's team include Salome Knoetze as rooms division manager and Warren Forster as head chef. Knoetze was previously involved with the opening of the four-star Holiday Inn Sandton and Forster assisted with the opening of the first five-star hotel in the Limpopo province, the Fusion Boutique Hotel.
